✨What’s New Wednesday✨
New dock on the French Broad River!
The previous dock on the river had to be taken down because it was falling into the river and became unsafe. Along with the riverbank stabilization project with Conserving Carolina, we’ve built a brand new dock on the river!
Large boulders have been placed along the shore, wrapped in a biodegradable mesh along with plantings that will grow and take root along the banks of the river. Also, enjoy easier access to the river with stones you can walk down.
We feel fortunate to be in a conservation easement to help provide a natural habitat for our wildlife and plantings.
It’s not only a way to support preserving our natural landscape but it also enhances the beauty of our property for guests to enjoy. We hope you agree!
