We are 1 month away from Brittany & Mike`s wedding at Deerwoode! Here`s what Brittany shared about their wedding weekend plans:
"When we started looking for a wedding venue, we kept coming back to one simple question: did it feel like us? This was tricky, because we love being outside and living active lives, but we also love any excuse to get all gussied up for a night out. It was important that our venue could flex to both parts of our personalities, and Deerwoode Reserve does exactly that.
Everything`s gotten so casual these days, even for special occasions, and we wanted our wedding to feel elevated. When you look good, you feel good! and when everyone makes that effort together, the people in the room create an atmosphere that is magnetic. Our formal Sunday night wedding will be such a juxtaposition from our campy Friday and Saturday nights, and watching the whole vibe and space transform is what will make it feel all the more magical!
We also didn`t want a wedding that was over in a few hours. We wanted a real weekend with the people we love. Deerwoode made that easy, they could accommodate so many of our guests that we booked all of their cabins from Friday through Monday. That means more shared meals and plenty of time playing in the lakes, and of course a relay race with friends and family. It`s the kind of place that just lets everyone relax and have fun together.
For the wedding itself, we`re going all out. We`re keeping it formal in the Mayes Event Center, draped professionally by Voile and Veil, with florals by Designed by Dee and a wedding dessert tower from Couture Cakes of Greenville.
That`s really what we love about Deerwoode, it holds room for both. The laid-back, jump-in-the-lake fun and the dressed-up, do-it-right celebration. Its allowing us to let us have the weekend we want, close to home, in a place we`re genuinely proud to show off."
