This original Vermont Log Cabin has been transformed into a luxurious modern log home with the finest finishes. Perched on higher ground, Big Log Cabin has gorgeous sweeping views overlooking the ponds, river, pasture, with mountains in the background. It is situated next to the Swimming Hole, and is perfect for a large family. The first floor has a spacious master suite with sitting room and ensuite bathroom. The kitchen cabinets are constructed of reclaimed wood from the old summer camp cabins adds to the charm mixing it with modern stainless appliances & granite counter tops meet. The sunroom doubles as a dining space with extra seating and access to two decks. Upstairs there are three bedrooms ~ two queen rooms and a bunk room, along with a full bathroom with double sinks and tub/shower.
Big Log Cabin is centrally located on property, right next to the Swimming Hole and close to trails and fishing on property. It has a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal). Special to this cabin is an outdoor covered pavilion featuring the original stone fireplace from the 1850’s homestead and is great for evening family gatherings around the fire (firewood provided). Leave your worries behind and enjoy a vacation like no other in this adorably rustic but modern log cabin home.
Property amenities included for free with your stay: Miles of hiking trails from easy along the French Broad River to moderate trails leading to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Water activities including jumping in the Swimming Hole filled by mountain spring water, kayaking in the lake and fishing (bring your own gear). Find relaxation in the Bamboo Forest and laying in the hammocks. Explore all 175 acres and find the hidden Fish Camp, the Observation Tower and watch for wildlife passing through.

Kitchen: Full size appliances, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, and drip coffee maker (with Pisgah Coffee Roasters coffee, filters, creamer & sweetener packets).
Dishes, silverware, cups, mugs, bakeware, cookware, mixer, blender, crockpot and basic kitchen utensils & supplies provided.
Linens provided: Sheets, bath towels, swim towels, extra blankets.
Starter Supplies: Soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels & toilet paper.

Outdoors: Your cabin has a picnic table & charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal) in the side yard and a wooden structure with stone fireplace for gathering around the fire. Firewood is supplied. Also enjoy two covered porches and two decks with additional seating.
