We are so grateful to have experienced the ultimate destination wedding weekend with incredible couple, Jodie & Jacey. Jodie & Jacey rented out the entire property for their friends and family, ultimately having more than 70 guests staying on the property, and the weekend was packed with fun activities for their guests. Guests arrived on Thursday, and on Friday, Jodie & Jacey planned a river float down the French Broad River that runs through the property. Their guests got to relax and soak up the sun before attending the rehearsal that evening. Following the rehearsal, guests attended a Garden Party, complete with Cornhole Tournament and delicious eats from a local BBQ food truck.
Saturday, before the main festivities began, guests gathered for a “Gratitude Lovefest”, complete with a Morning Meditation, Mindfulness Practice, Yoga, and a smoothie bar. The couple tied the knot next to the lake, and then celebrated afterwards in the Mayes Event Center. Local restaurant Quixote provided the delicious eats, as well as the full bar and wait staff. Jodie & Jacey ditched the traditional wedding cake for a one-of-a-kind dessert treat, courtesy of Quixote: delicious homemade ice cream and churros, made right on site. At the end of the evening, we rolled up the doors, lit the fires in the fire pits, and let the wonderful outdoors in. The couple rode off into the night in our “Woody Wagon”. Special shout out to their sweet pups, who joined in the festivities throughout the weekend.
We are honored to have played a role in this wonderful weekend, filled with love, fun, adventured, and memories that will last a lifetime. Jodie & Jacey, you truly created the ultimate wedding weekend experience…cheers to you!
From Jodie & Jacey: “It was the most incredible place for a wedding — we had multiple guests say it was their favorite wedding they’d ever been to, in large part because of the beautiful venue! It’s the perfect place to have family and friends stay on site to really get quality time together surrounding the formal wedding festivities. We also loved that this venue allows pets, so our dogs got to be part of our wedding! And we were able to have a little after party in the Coyote Lodge after the wedding reception was over, which was so fun!…Our wedding weekend at Deerwoode Reserve was a dream. We absolutely recommend this wedding venue to others!”
