Gather with your family & friends to make lasting memories in the Coyote Lodge, now featuring new exterior split log siding for 2026 & new grilling pavilion (photos to come soon). Soaring two stories tall, Coyote Lodge has great room, with an impressive stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace adorned by original wooden canoes from when this property operated as a summer camp in the 1930s. The living room, dining area, and kitchen share the open floor plan in the center of the cabin. There's plenty of room to play games, sit around the fireplace, share stories or find a quiet nook to read a book. The second story balcony looks over the great room and offers additional seating and a foosball table.
It boasts four large master suites, that sleep up to 18 guests, each with a private bathroom. Three of the bedroom have a king bed plus bunk bed and the fourth room has two queen beds and a bunk bed. Each room has a seating area, TV, A/C & Heat unit and private access to the porch or balcony. An additional half bath and laundry room are situated just off the great room.
Spend time relaxing on the porch swings and rocking chairs on the front covered porch. Views of the ponds and meadow with trees and mountains in the background provide a breathtaking, natural setting where you may find some wildlife passing through. Outside has lawn space for games and gathering around the fire. Close to the Swimming Hole, walking trails, and the big lake for fishing and kayaking. Bring your extended family or vacation with your friends in the Coyote Lodge for an experience like no other and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Property amenities included for free with your stay: Miles of hiking trails from easy along the French Broad River to moderate trails leading to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Water activities including jumping in the Swimming Hole filled by mountain spring water, kayaking in the lake and fishing (bring your own gear). Find relaxation in the Bamboo Forest and laying in the hammocks. Explore all 175 acres and find the hidden Fish Camp, the Observation Tower and watch for wildlife passing through.

Heating/Cooling: The Coyote Lodge is equipped with two A/C & Heat units in the great room, along with two gas heaters and a wood-burning fireplace (firewood provided). Each bedroom has an A/C & Heat unit.
Kitchen: Full size appliances, two side-by-side refrigerator/freezers with ice makers a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, and drip coffee maker (with Pisgah Coffee Roasters coffee, filters, creamer & sweetener packets).
Dishes, silverware, cups, mugs, bakeware, cookware, mixer, blender, crockpot, electric griddle, and basic kitchen utensils & supplies provided.
Laundry Room with washer, dryer and 1/2 bath (toilet & sink).
Linens provided: Sheets, bath towels, swim towels, extra blankets.
Starter Supplies: Soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap, laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels & toilet paper.
Other: Closets in each bedroom with hangers. Iron & hairdryer. TV with Dish Network service. WiFi.
