Gather with your family & friends to make lasting memories in the Coyote Lodge, now featuring new exterior log siding for 2026 (photos to come soon). Soaring two stories tall, Coyote Lodge has great room, with an impressive stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace adorned by original wooden canoes from when this property operated as a summer camp in the 1930s. The living room, dining area, and kitchen share the open floor plan in the center of the cabin. There's plenty of room to play games, sit around the fireplace, share stories or find a quiet nook to read a book. It boasts four large master suites, that sleep up to 18 guests, each with a private bathroom. An additional half bath and laundry room are situated just off the great room.
Spend time relaxing on the porch swings and rocking chairs on the front covered porch. Second-story rooms also have balcony access. Views of the ponds and meadow with trees and mountains in the background provide a breathtaking, natural setting where you may find some wildlife passing through. Outside has lawn space for games, a private charcoal grill (charcoal not provided), and 3 picnic tables perfect for a cookout. Close to the Swimming Hole, walking trails, and the big lake for fishing and kayaking. Gather around the large community fire pit (firewood provided) for some storytelling and making s'mores. Bring your extended family or vacation with your friends in the Coyote Lodge for an experience like no other and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Property amenities included for free with your stay: Miles of hiking trails from easy along the French Broad River to moderate trails leading to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain. Water activities including jumping in the Swimming Hole filled by mountain spring water, kayaking in the lake and fishing (bring your own gear). Find relaxation in the Bamboo Forest and laying in the hammocks. Explore all 175 acres and find the hidden Fish Camp, the Observation Tower and watch for wildlife passing through.
