Greetings from Deerwoode Reserve - Newsletter
Spring in Brevard NC

Welcome from the Owners

It’s the start of Autumn and in the mountains of Western North Carolina, mother nature has lowered the temperatures a notch and a few of the leaves are just starting to change color. As summer ends, we anticipate the beginning of cooler days, sitting around the fire pit at night and look forward to gathering with family & friends in the coming months. This mild time of year is perfect for a little mountain getaway to enjoy all the outdoors have to offer: From mountain biking, hiking trails, fly fishing and finding waterfalls to visiting outdoor music venues, exploring local breweries, and appreciating the talented artisans in the area, there’s always something to do this around this season. One of our personal fall favorites is to take a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and marvel at the impressive long range mountain views & all the colors of the changing leaves. We invite you to visit us and bring your sense of adventure. You are sure to find ways to get back to nature, relax and recharge before the busy holiday season.

Warmly Yours,
Scott & Dionne Hodgson
Tim & Jessica Hodgson

THE MAYES EVENT CENTER UPDATE

Coming Spring 2024 to Deerwoode Reserve!

Our big construction project is under way remodeling the “old gym” into an all-new event venue. Over the summer, a new metal roof was installed along with the large window overlooking the pond and the 4 garage doors in the back. Interior framing, plumbing, HVAC, and electric work has begun. A new concrete floor in the pavilion area was completed. Currently, a new timber frame carport entrance is being designed, and a grand entry door has been ordered. The exterior received board & batten siding and a new paint job. Large barn door accents were added to the exterior giving the building a wonderful new look. We’ll continue to post updates on this exciting new project!
