Successful 2nd Annual Festival of Lights

The 2nd annual Festival of Lights at Deerwoode Reserve was an amazing success. 

The event took place December 19-22, 2024, with all proceeds benefiting The Family Place of Transylvania County, who work in the local community to assist with providing resources and support to help strengthen families. Through sponsorships, ticket sales, raffle tickets, and donations, the Festival of Lights raised $10,000 for The Family Place.

Over the 4 nights, Deerwoode Reserve helped create holiday memories for over 1,500 people from more than 8 counties across North Carolina and several out of state attendees.

In the Mayes Event Center, which was fully renovated and opened in April 2024, attendees enjoyed snacks and a variety of activities. Guests also enjoyed visits with Santa, hayrides, live music, a food truck, raffle baskets, and voting on their favorite decorated cabin.
