Festival of Lights 2026 Recap
The Third Annual Festival of Lights brought joy, connection, and meaningful holiday memories to families across Transylvania County—while raising critical funds to support The Family Place. More than 1,600 neighbors and visitors joined the four-night celebration at Deerwoode Reserve from December 18–22, 2025.
New Look for Coyote Lodge
The old Lodge is looking new again! The old dark wood siding has been replaced with new lighter stained split log siding. The window framing has been updated, and the shutters and doors were painted a dark green. Lucust posts add a rustic, charming touch to the balcony railing. In addition, a new metal roof was installed. Improvements were made to the front elevation with the installation of additional planters to allow for more greenery and flowers in the landscaping. Still to come, fun upgrades to the camp fire & outdoor seating area, and a surprise feature to make cookouts even better for your group staying in the Coyote Lodge. Once we’re done with the updates to the exterior and outdoor spaces, we’ll be moving inside….so, stay tuned!
